Fallingwater
About Fallingwater
Named the "best record-breaking work of American design" in a survey of individuals from the American Institute of Architects, Falling water is hailed universally as a magnum opus of twentieth century engineering. Planned in 1935 by prestigious planner Frank Lloyd Wright, Falling water is one of the Wright's most generally acclaimed works and the best epitomizes his theory of natural engineering: the amicable association of craftsmanship and nature. Since 1963, the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy has claimed and protected Falling water with the goal that the general population can visit, understanding and be motivated by this case of American design and history.
