Encanto Park
About Encanto Park
Encanto Park is 222 sections of land in the focal point of the city; this stop was brought about by William G. Hartranft, President of the principal Phoenix Parks and Recreation Board. His vision was for an expansive urban stop comparative in scale and character to Balboa Park in San Diego and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. With the obtaining of 200 sections of land from J.W. Dorris and Dr. James C. Norton, the Dorris-Norton Park was set up in 1934. The recreation center, included a green composed by William P. Ringer, a clubhouse, play areas, and an arrow based weaponry run, is a beautiful gathering of palms and deciduous trees sorted out around winding tidal ponds and channels. One striking fascination at Encanto Park is Enchanted Island, an entertainment mecca with rides, recreations, concessions, and a small prepare ride around the delight zone.
