Edison and Ford Winter Estates

The Edison and Ford Winter Estates contain a chronicled authentic focus and 21 segment of land 8.5 hectares proficient flowerbed on the connecting goals of the winter homes of Thomas Alva Edison and Henry Ford by the Caloosahatchee River in southwestern Florida. It is arranged at 2350 McGregor Bouled, Fort Myers, Florida.

The present site dates from 1885, when Edison initially went to southwest Florida and bought the property to manufacture a country estate. His home, finished in 1886 and later named "Seminole Lodge", filled in as a winter withdraw and place of unwinding until Edison's passing in 1931. Edison's great companion Henry Ford obtained the abutting property, "The Mangoes" from Robert Smith of New York in 1916. Portage's skilled worker style home was worked in 1911 by Smith.
