About Drumthwacket

A visit through Drumthwacket, the official home of the Governor of New Jersey, will give guests a look at all of the history and culture Princeton brings to the table. Worked in 1835 by Charles Smith Olden, the 28th Governor of New Jersey, Drumthwacket has experienced ious extensions, the majority of which were achieved by its previous proprietor Moses Taylor Pyne. Guests can see the first structure involving an inside corridor and an extensive colonnade – some of Pyne's increases incorporate wings on each side of the house, a framed library, nurseries, dairy ranches, and a huge arranged garden. Recorded on the National Register of Historic Places, Drumthwacket can be visited at no cost on Wednesdays.
