About Drayton Hall
Drayton Hall is an eighteenth century ranch situated on the Ashley River in the 'Low Country' of Charleston, established around 1738 when the property was acquired by John Drayton. The estate was developed in a Palladian style and was the main ranch house on the Ashley River to survive both the Revolutionary and Civil wars.
Drayton Hall is a National Historic Landmark, encompassed by early-English noteworthy scene. The National Trust for Historic Preservation procured the property in 1974 and has saved it such that gives guests a chance to watch the effect of changing tastes however the hundreds of years.
