In the days of yore before computer games, single young fellows in Alaska had an alternate thought of after-work amusement - hard alcohol and a specific sort of female brotherhood. These lumberjacks, excavators and anglers buckled down in the forested areas, the gold camps or adrift. When they returned to town, Creek Street and its massage parlors were waiting.Take a walk around the most well known of these – Dolly's House – the main "cave of wrongdoing" that still stands today. You can't miss Number 24 Creek Street, for its green doll house appearance looks much as it did amid its prime. Inside you'll discover photographs of Dolly decorating the dividers, the cabbage rose backdrop she supported, and you may even detect the "mystery storage room" in Dolly's room, where she reserved stash alcohol amid the Prohibition years.Come inside and take in more about Dolly and the other ladies of the seedy area of town, who were just permitted to shop on certain days with the goal that legitimate women could maintain a strategic distance from them.
