David Humphreys House

It was worked from 1695 to 1698 and is the origination of the American Revolutionary War Colonel David Humphreys. Humphreys was a companion of and confidant to General George Washington and was named by President Washington to end up the primary diplomat of the United States to a remote nation Portugal. It is one of the famous historical place in this city. The notable house gallery has been reestablished to a mid eighteenth century appearance, and fills in as the central command for the Derby Historical Society. The house was recorded on the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.
