Cutler Reservoir
About Cutler Reservoir
Cutler Reservoir is an important water reservoir, located in Cache Valley in the U.S. state of Utah. It is built on the Bear River for the purpose of irrigation, flood control, and water supply.
Cutler Dam was built in 1927, is located in easternmost Box Elder County. It contains several species of fish including catfish, walleye, crappie, and bass. It is more popular with locals, but not often fished by anyone else.
It provides a diversity of lowland riparian, wetlands, open water, and agriculture in close proximity as in an area called the Amalga Barrens. This area is good for microcosm of the Great Salt Lake. It also provides habitat for many of the same birds as the Great Salt Lake.
