Currituck Beach Light
About Currituck Beach Light
The Currituck Beach Light is a beacon situated on the Outer Banks in Corolla, North Carolina. On December 1, 1875, the Currituck Beach Light was finished, situated between Cape Henry Light and Bodie Island. Dissimilar to its colleagues, Currituck Beach Light was not painted, leaving its block veneer noticeable. In 1939, the beacon was computerized following a merger of the United States Coast Guard with the Bureau of Lighthouses. The Outer Banks Conservationists performed a great part of the remaking and renovating work since 1980 through private financing and charitable effort. Since 1991 guests have been permitted to climb the first 220 stages to the outside display. Access to the focal point room isn't allowed as the main request focal point isn't just the first focal point, however it is as yet a working one.
