Cullinan Ranch
About Cullinan Ranch
This venture will reestablish 1549 sections of land of tidal wetlands in the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Cullinan Ranch was once part of a broad system of tidal swamps in the North Bay. It was diked in the late 1800s for cultivating until the point that USFWS procured the property in 1991 and fused it into the San Pablo Bay National Wildlife Refuge. Consequent reclamation was postponed on account of the need to shield Highway 37 from flooding related to tidal reintroduction.
Undertaking components incorporate ensuring existing framework and breaking and bringing levees down to permit sedimentation procedures to reestablish tidal swamp. Rebuilding will enhance ecologic wellbeing, living space network and water nature of the lower Napa River and San Pablo Bay.
