Comstock Firemen s Museum

The reason for the historical center association is to protect the old Virginia City Fire Station, and revamp it for use as the magnanimous and instructive Comstock Firemen's Museum; to direct the Comstock Firemen's Museum, and to save and manage the Virginia Exempt Fire Association Cemetery.

The Comstock Firemen's Museum will protect, gather, record and display the curios and history of the fire organizations and bureaus of Virginia City, Gold Hill, Story County, and encompassing zone fire offices; to translate the sociological, monetary and mechanical impacts on those fire and crisis benefits through its improvement; to fill in as a commemoration to the volunteer and vocation people who have committed their lives to the fire and crisis benefits; and to decipher the way of life and the different aspects of flame and crisis benefit life from its origination to the present.
