Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden

The Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden are well-known among locals and visitors, it came about because of an invasion of caterpillars. In 1872, caterpillars dropped upon Cincinnati, probably eating up all vegetation inside the city. Andrew Erkenbrecher and a few other noticeable occupants made the Society of the Acclimatization of Birds. This association bought around one thousand fowls from Europe, sent them to Cincinnati and housed the winged animals in a building.

Today, the Cincinnati Zoo and Botanical Garden generally position among the main five zoos in the United States. Amid the 1980s, it had 780 unique types of untamed life in its accumulations.
