Chimney Rock State Park
About Chimney Rock State Park
Cimney Rock, the 535-million-year-old stone monument for which the Park is named, is viewed as a standout amongst the most notable locales in North Carolina. From its best, you'll absorb the 75-mile all encompassing perspectives of Hickory Nut Gorge and Lake Lure. You can climb to the highest point of this transcending 315-foot rock outcropping situated on the very edge of the Blue Ridge Mountains. At a height of 2,280 feet above ocean level, this peak experience will blow your mind. The climb is certainly justified regardless of the exertion! The Park has been a piece of NC State Parks since 2007, and you can take in more about that here. Obviously, we've been around any longer than that, and our history is justified regardless of a perused. As anyone might expect, we push and advance supportability wherever we can as a NC State Park, with the goal that our excellence can be delighted in for ages to come.
