About Chattanooga Zoo
It is a 13-section of land 5.3 ha zoological stop situated in Warner Park in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The zoo was built up in 1937 by the City of Chattanooga with the development of two 4 by 6 feet 1.2 by 1.8 m confines for rhesus monkeys. A prior zoo was set up in 1900, Oxley Zoo, by Colonel F. G. Oxley of Bridgeport, Alabama when he gave $500 to open the principal open zoo in Chattanooga.
Oxley Zoo shut because of money related limitations in 1911. The zoo has been certify by the Association of Zoos and Aquariums AZA since 1998. The Chattanooga Zoo is effectively engaged with preservation endeavors, particularly the AZA's Species Survival Plan which deals with the rearing, protection, and welfare of imperiled species all through AZA certify offices in North America.
