Carter House
About Carter House
The Carter House once had a place with Fountain Branch Carter, a business visionary who lived in Franklin with his significant other and twelve kids. After the finishing of his home, Fountain fiddled with cultivating. What started as a little developing activity changed into a noteworthy business open door for the Carter family. Through the span of 20 years, the Carter cultivate went from covering 19 sections of land of land to crossing 288 acres.
However, the homestead and the Carter family home in the end wound up at the focal point of the Battle of Franklin. After a Federal general secured their home, the Carters had no real option except to cover up and sit tight for the fight to end. A long time later, in 1951, the State of Tennessee acquired the Carter home. Today visitors can visit the noteworthy home as a component of a guided visit.
