Capitol Theatre Building
About Capitol Theatre Building
The Capitol Theatre Building is a silver screen and show scene situated at 140 E. second St. in Rock, Michigan. It opened in 1928 and was recorded among the National Enlist of Memorable Places in Michigan in 1985. Composed by John Eberson, it is a barometrical performance center intended to resemble a Roman garden. On October 21, 2015, it was reported that Uptown Reinvestment Corp. will collaborate with The Whiting Assembly room in Rock and its representing body, the Stone Social Center Corp.
The reestablished theater, meeting current construction laws, seats 1,500 with general society territories seeming to be like how the venue looked when it initially opened in 1928. To help in the reclamation, a non-noteworthy third story expansion was torn down to reestablish harmony to the performance center's front façade.
