Calhoun Mansion
About Calhoun Mansion
Calhoun Mansion is a 35-room Italianate manor worked in 1876 for agent George W. Williams and his family. It is the biggest memorable private home in Charleston and ostensibly a standout amongst the most excellent. Open to the general population, it is a piece of numerous voyages through the city's notable downtown.
Exquisite and stately, the chateau has a great dance hall, high roofs, porches, lifts, piazzas, Japanese gardens, and even a koi lake. Legal counselor and preservationist Howard Stahl got it in 2004 after it had been carefully remodeled and is utilizing it today to show his broad accumulation of Gilded Age antiquities.
