Bushnell Park
About Bushnell Park
The most established freely supported stop in the U.S., Bushnell Park was imagined by Reverend Horace Bushnell in the mid-nineteenth century with a specific end goal to give the general population of Hartford a green open space, an idea that no other city in the U.S. had yet finished. With more than 50 sections of land, the recreation center highlights ways and gatherings of trees, a lake, an execution structure, a merry go round, and the Corning Fountain.
Commemorations incorporate the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Arch, which is committed to the individuals who battled amid the American Civil War, and in addition the Horace Wells Monument. Recorded on the U.S. National Register of Historic Places, the recreation center hosts shows, celebrations, and different occasions.
