About Burnham Park

Burnham Park adds up to around 600 sections of land and sits on Chicago's Lakefront only south of Grant Park. The recreation center was named for Chicago's well known designer and organizer Daniel H. Burnham, who imagined a south lakefront stop with a progression of synthetic islands, direct sculling harbor, shorelines, knolls, and playfields, as distributed in his fundamental The Plan of Chicago of 1909.

Today, Burnham Park includes the naturalistic Promontory Point composed by Alfred Caldwell and a famous skate stop at 31st Street. The recreation center likewise seats situated at 12 Street, 31st Street, Oakwood and 57th Street, flying creature havens and excellent characteristic zones. The Margaret T. Burroughs Beach and Park includes and extends from 31 Street to 26th Street.
