Bidwell Park

Bidwell Park is a civil park situated in Chico, California. The recreation center was set up July 10, 1905, through the gift by Annie Bidwell Dowager of Chico's author, John Bidwell of around 2,500 sections of land 10 km2 of land to the City of Chico. Since that time, the City has bought extra land, for example, Cedar Grove in 1922, and 1,200 sections of land 5 km2 of land south of Big Chico Creek in upper Bidwell Park in 1995.
