Baxter State Park
About Baxter State Park
Baxter State Park is an expansive wild territory forever saved as a state stop. It is in the North Maine Woods locale, and the Katahdin Woods and Waters National Monument fringes Baxter State Park. The recreation center was built up by 28 gifts of land, in trust, from stop contributor Percival P. Baxter between the times of 1931 and 1962, inevitably making a recreation center of more than 200,000 sections of land 809 km sq. in measure. Baxter Park isn't a piece of the Maine State Park framework. Sole administration is given by the Baxter State Park Authority, comprising of the Maine Attorney General, the Maine Commissioner of Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and the Director of the Maine Forest Service.
