About Avoca
Avoca, otherwise called Avoca Museum, is a notable home situated close Altavista, Campbell County, Virginia. It was outlined by Lynchburg Architect, John Minor Botts Lewis and inherent 1901, after the first and second abodes were crushed by flame in 1879 and 1900. It is a substantial 2 1/2-story, asymnetrical, wood-outline home in the Queen Anne style. It has a hipped rooftop and highlights a pinnacle and verandah.

Colonel Charles Lynch was a grower and separated himself as an official and officer amid the turbulent circumstances of the American Revolution period. The expression "Lynch's Law" which progressed toward becoming "lynching" may get from his name, in spite of the fact that he didn't work on lynching in the later, deadly feeling of the word.
