Atwood Stadium
About Atwood Stadium
Atwood Stadium is a substantial stadium situated on University Avenue in downtown Flint. The 11,000 seat stadium is possessed by Kettering University. Opened in 1929, the stadium is named after previous Flint Mayor Edwin W. Atwood who subsidized the working of the stadium. The stadium has experienced a few remodels throughout the years: in 1968 the grass field was supplanted with fake turf and there were further redesigns in 1995 and 2015.
The stadium has brandishing occasions, for example, ball games, football games, and fights, and in addition music shows and other non-sports occasions, for example, political addresses: both Franklin D. Roosevelt and John F. Kennedy addressed groups of onlookers at the stadium.
