APOLLO THEATER
About APOLLO THEATER
This world-well known show lobby propelled the professions of notorious melodic specialists like the Jackson Five and James Brown. The Apollo attracts more than one million guests every year, and all things considered.
Initially opened in 1914 as 'Hurtig and Seamon's', a 'whites just' vaudeville theater, the Apollo went under the administration of Sidney S Cohen in 1932. Cohen changed the auditorium into a Harlem point of interest, putting dark entertainers in front of an audience when African Americans were restricted from most performance centers all through the US. Presently known for its popular Amateur Night, the Apollo is where gifted entertainers sing their hearts out in the expectations of turning into a star.
