Alvin
About Alvin
Alvin is a city in the U.S. territory of Texas. The Alvin region was settled in the mid-nineteenth century when bull farms were built up in the region. The Santa Fe Railroad in the long run ventured into the zone, and a settlement was set up along the railroad. The Alvin Library is a piece of the Brazoria County Library System.
The library shut in 2010 to repair harms done by Hurricane Ike, and amid that remodel a fire broke out causing real smoke damage. The Alvin Rotary Club supports a yearly Frontier Day festivity, which incorporates a parade and 5k Fun Run.
