The Alabama Jazz Hall of Fame AJHoF was established in 1978, and opened an exhibition hall on September 18, 1993, with a mission "to cultivate, support, teach, and develop a general energy about the medium of jazz music as a honest to goodness, unique and unmistakable artistic expression indigenous to America. Its main goal is additionally to save a proceeded and maintained program of lighting up the commitment of the State of Alabama through its nationals, condition, socioeconomics and legend, and sustaining the legacy of jazz music."
