Agathla Peak
About Agathla Peak
Agathla Peak is a found south of Monument Valley in Arizona seven miles 11 kilometers north of Kayenta, Arizona. As a result of its stature and the evenness of the encompassing region, it is effectively observed from the Kayenta - Monument Valley Scenic Road on US 163. The Native American Navajo individuals view the crest as sacrosanct and they consider it a "sky supporter".
It passes by different names, for example, the "place of fleece and hair" due to the way that these gathered on the stones as the gazelle and deer brushed against them. It is otherwise called "El Capitan" due to its size and area at the passage to the valley.
