About Adler Planetarium

The Adler Planetarium is an open historical center devoted to the investigation of space science and astronomy. It was established in 1930 by Chicago business pioneer Max Adler. It is situated on the upper east tip of Northerly Island at the shore of Lake Michigan in Chicago, Illinois.

Famous among locals and is home to three full size theaters, broad space science shows, and a huge accumulation of antique logical instruments and print materials. What's more, the Adler gloats the Doane Observatory, one of the main research-dynamic, open urban observatories. This famous lakeside observatory is the main place in Chicago where the general population can see planets, stars, and universes very close and face to face.
