Adamson House
About Adamson House
Adamson House is assigned a National Historic Site and a California Historic Landmark. Unmistakable from most places on the state shoreline, however with passage just off the Pacific Coast Highway One, a couple of hundred feet down drift in Malibu Lagoon State Beach is the Adamson House.
Malibu Potteries spent significant time in clay tiles that were affected by a iety of world societies and highlighted elaborate outlines that included nautical themes and winged animals of heaven. Tiles delivered in the production line embellish the dividers of the Los Angeles City Hall, The Roosevelt Hotel, and the Mayan Theater. Highlighting Native American, Andalusian, Art Deco, and nautical subjects, the tiles cover the house's kitchen, lavatories, and floors. Outside, the tiles show up on wellsprings, seats, and the family's saltwater pool.
