Adams Museum and House or The Historic Adams House was worked in 1892 by Deadwood pioneers Harris and Anna Franklin. The exquisite Queen Anne-style house proclaimed a rich and socially noticeable new age for Deadwood, a previous unpleasant and tumble gold mining town. Its the most established history gallery operating at a profit Hills and positions 3 among True West magazine's 2009 Top 10 Western Museums.
Relics and showcases from Deadwood's notable past mirror the ground-breaking legends of scandalous characters like Wild Bill and Calamity Jane. In 1920 Deadwood representative and previous chairman W.E. Adams conveyed the house as a tribute to the Black Hills pioneers and in recognition of his expired first spouse and two little girls. The historical center was a blessing to the city of Deadwood and it remains city property right up 'til today. It is situated at 54 Sherman Street.
Deadwood's Adams Museum is viewed as the Black Hills' most seasoned history historical center.
