The Black Hills Central Railroad is a legacy railroad that works in South Dakota, United States. It presently works the 1880 Train on the previous Keystone Branch of the Burlington Northern Railroad between Hill City, South Dakota and Keystone, South Dakota. This railroad line was initially worked by the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad as a digging railroad for gold operating at a profit Hills.
It achieved Keystone on January 20, 1900 and was later used to pull gear for cutting close-by Mount Rushmore.In 1957, William Heckman and Robert Freer began the Black Hills Central Railroad which started working a vacationer traveler trip prepare benefit on this line.
