A depiction of how Winton Recreation Ground has created since it initially opened in 1906. The land was given to us by the Earl of Malmesbury in 1904 on the understanding that we'd make it an open diversion ground. The official opening occurred in 1906 and local people detailed that .The Earl and Countess of Malmesbury opened the new Recreation Ground at Winton, comprising of 14 sections of land 5.75 ha and was liberally introduced by the Earl of Malmesbury.
The rocking the bowling alley green at one corner has just been opened, there has now been laid out a cricket ground encompassing which is a decent dashing track for games, and close by is a football ground, a youngsters' play zone is to take after. The Bournemouth Graphic, September 27, 1906. To commend the opening of the new rocking the bowling alley green in 1935 the club individuals played against the board group in an exceptional match.
