Weston Park Museum
About Weston Park Museum
Weston Park Museum is an exhibition hall in Sheffield, South Yorkshire, England. It is one mile west of Sheffield downtown area inside Weston Park. It is Sheffield's biggest exhibition hall and is housed in a Grade II recorded building and oversaw by Museums Sheffield.
For quite a bit of its history the complex was formally known as the Sheffield City Museum and Mappin Art Gallery. The historical center contained Sheffield's paleohistory, characteristic history, enriching workmanship and social history accumulations.
In December 1940 the Mappin Art Gallery endured an immediate hit in the Sheffield Blitz, devastating a noteworthy piece of the building and harming a great part of the rest.
Amid the 1960s the historical center stayed open to people in general, while the Mappin Art Gallery was left in an in part crushed state after the structure had been made safe.
