About Walkden Gardens
Walkden Gardens is an open green space in Sale, Greater Manchester. The greenery enclosures are named after Harry Walkden on whose demise in 1949 his plant nursery go to Sale Borough Council and gives the site to the gardens.The Gardens are open each day and passageway is FREE OF CHARGE aside from on a couple of events when there are melodic or dramatic exhibitions taking place.
Walkden Gardens is a delightful and tranquil hideaway near the focal point of Sale. It is referred to locally as 'The Maze' since it comprises of a few 'rooms' opening from the primary fancy grass walkway. Walkden Gardens is brimming with things of enthusiasm, with numerous interesting highlights, for example, a figure called 'Willow' made by craftsman Marcela Livingstone from a plan thought by a nearby school understudy.
