Walk Great Central
About Walk Great Central
Finished in 1899 and slicing straight through the center of Rugby is the way of the Incomparable Focal Railroad. The course of this old railroad line keeps running from Newton Outing Site to the Oxford Trench just to the side of Brownsover where it stops. The town of Rugby has been worked over parts of the old line however the course begins again from Seeker Road.
The way proceeds to Onley Path, and despite the fact that the railroad line was being used for just 70 years, the old rail route spans remain a symbol of Rugby's commitment to the mechanical upheaval.
Inclined access onto the track would now be able to be found at these old extensions, while the remaining parts of the old station on Hillmorton Street can even now be seen today.
