About The Seaside Museum Herne Bay

The Seaside Museum Herne Bay is a nearby historical center in Herne Bay, Kent, England. It was built up in 1932 and is striking for being a coastline vacation spot highlighting nearby archeological and social history, for including the historical backdrop of the town as a visitor resort, for its neighborhood workmanship displays, and for its World War II bobbing bomb. Confirmation is allowed to neighborhood occupants however a section expense is charged to visitors. The administration of the Museum was granted by Canterbury City Council to the Herne Bay Museum Trust, who revived it in July 2015 as The Seaside Museum Herne Bay. The gallery was initially settled in 1932 as Herne Bay Records Society known as Herne Bay Historical Records Society from 1988.

From 1936 to 1939 the shows were in the lobby at 53 Mortimer Street, Herne Bay, and from 1939 the exhibition hall was sited in the High Street over the Public Library. It moved to its present no. 12 William Street site in 1996. The William Street premises is a Georgian building now in a Conservation Area, and William Street was the primary shopping road until something like 1883. It was kept running for a considerable length of time by nearby antiquarian, Harold Gough, and is supported and controlled by Canterbury City Council. The displays are possessed by Herne Bay Historical Records Society, and advanced to Canterbury City Council exhibition halls service.
