About Tenbury Wells
Tenbury Wells is a market town and civil parish in the north-western extremity of the Malvern Hills District of Worcestershire, England, which had a population of 3,777. Tenbury Wells lies on the south bank of the River Teme, which shapes the outskirt among Shropshire and Worcestershire. It is in the north-west of the Malvern Hills District. The settlement of Burford in Shropshire lies on the north bank of the stream.
From 1894 to 1974, it was a provincial area, including itself and towns, for example, Stoke Bliss, Eastham and Rochford. From 1974 Tenbury was in the District of Leominster until the point that it turned out to be part Malvern Hills District when Leominster District Council was assumed control by Herefordshire Council in April 1998. The historical backdrop of Tenbury Wells stretches out as far back as the Iron Age.
The town is regularly thought of as the home to the Castle Tump, however this is presently in Burford, Shropshire because of limit changes. In spite of the fact that the Tump, perhaps the remaining parts of an early Norman motte and bailey chateau, can be seen from the primary street there are no obvious stays of the mansion that was developed to safeguard and control the first River Teme crossing. It has additionally been depicted as " The remaining parts of an eleventh century Norman Castle."
