About Stalybridge
Stalybridge is a town in Tameside, Greater Manchester, England, with a population of 23,731. Truly a piece of Cheshire, it is 8 miles east of Manchester downtown area and 6 miles north-west of Glossop. With the development of a cotton process in 1776, Stalybridge ended up one of the main focuses of material make amid the Industrial Revolution. The riches made in the nineteenth century from the plant based cotton industry changed a territory of scattered ranches and estates into a self-assured town.
Because of the decay of the cotton business in the principal quarter of the twentieth century and the improvement of present day low-thickness lodging in the post-war period, the town is currently semi-country in character. Stalybridge has a built up melodic custom. Stalybridge Old Band was framed in 1809, maybe the primary non military personnel metal band on the planet. The band as of now challenges in the second area. Carrbrook Brass at present challenges in the fourth area and speak to the town yearly at the Armentieres celebration. A yearly metal band challenge has been held in the town on Whit Friday, since something like 1870. Different challenges have been hung around the same time in the encompassing towns of Millbrook, Carrbrook and Heyrod.
