About St Leonards Church

St Leonard's church is an anglican ward church in Middleton, Greater Manchester, England. It is recorded in the National Heritage List for England as an assigned Grade I recorded building. A significant part of the present building was raised in 1412 by Thomas Langley who filled in as Bishop of Durham and Lord Chancellor of England. He re-utilized the Norman entryway from a prior structure to make the pinnacle curve. Additionally particular in this piece of the world is the wooden turret tower.
