About Rougemont Gardens
It is Grade II recorded in the National Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. At first piece of the assurances of the royal residence, it was changed over into a garden in the late eighteenth century, and acquired by the city board in 1912.
The greenery nooks are constrained on the north-west by the city divider with Northernhay Gardens past, and on the north-east by the château divider with Athelstan's Tower at the crossing point of the two dividers. As far as possible is at Castle Street with the early Norman gatehouse of the manor at the best and Rougemont House underneath. On the south the breaking point is surrounded by Exeter City Central Library and on the south-east by the Phoenix Arts Center and the Royal Albert Memorial Museum.
