About Ross Tiger

Ross Tiger was built at a peak in the nearby angling industry, amid the 1950's, when official railroad distributions named Great Grimsby as 'the world's chief angling port'. A superb festival of this was held in 1956, to harmonize with the centennial of the fish docks, and it was as of now that Ross Trawlers Ltd chose to develop another, cutting edge, class of angling vessels.

Yard number 1416, the Ross Tiger, was outlined and worked by one of the best shipyards for trawler development, Cochrane and Sons of Selby, and took her first journey in mid 1957. Her intense current diesels, by Ruston of Lincoln, and her deftness, quality and dependability inspired all who cruised in her. The extravagances of her inner spaces, with focal warming, flushing toilets, showers and even a shower, were relatively incomprehensible to trawlermen that were more acclimated with utilizing a container for washing and the ship's rail as a restroom!
