About Rochester Guildhall
The Guildhall is a memorable Grade I recorded building situated in Rochester, Medway, South East England. It was developed in 1697 and has been a piece of the Guildhall Museum since 1979. The historical center stretches out to the working adjacent, fabricated 1909. An outstanding component is a weathervane dating from 1780 as an eighteenth century warship.
The Guildhall Chamber is said to highlight in the novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens, and the exhibition hall incorporates a room committed to the creator. Its staircase and primary corridor have sublime mortar roofs, which were given in 1695 by Admiral Sir Cloudsley Shovell, who was the Member of Parliament for the city of Rochester at the time.
