Riverside Country Park

Riverside Country Park is a substantial seaside open park, arranged nearby the River Medway estuary amongst Gillingham and Rainham. The recreation center covers around 100 hectares - roughly 247 sections of land 1,000,000 m². There are an assortment of characteristic natural surroundings inside the recreation center, including mudflats and salt bog, lakes and reed-beds, prairie and clean, which give a safe house to wildlife.

It takes in the different regions; of Motney Hill, Rainham Dock, Bloors Wharf, Horrid Hill, Sharp's Green Bay and Eastcourt Meadows. The recreation center was set up in the 1970s by Medway Council. This park is maintained by Medway Council. The Saxon Shore Way long separate way leads along the drift through the recreation center, between Upchurch and Gillingham along Lower Rainham Road. National Cycle Route 1 leads along the Saxon Shore Way through the recreation center too. The recreation center offers great and open perspectives to watch out finished the North Kent Marshes next to the River Medway. The recreation center additionally is acreddited with a Green Flag Award by Natural England.
