Radcliffe Tower
About Radcliffe Tower
Radcliffe Tower is the main surviving piece of a home in Radcliffe, Greater Manchester truly in Lancashire. It is a Grade I recorded building and a Scheduled Monument. The house was modified in 1403 by James de Radcliffe, who was master of the estate of Radcliffe, and comprised of a stone-assembled lobby and maybe a couple towers, presumably worked with ashlar squares.
De Radcliffe was given a regal permit to brace the site including crenellations and bulwarks. The villa was annihilated in the nineteenth century leaving just the pinnacle. The pinnacle measures 10.5 yards by 19 yards and makes due to around 20 feet in tallness. The remaining parts are claimed by Bury chamber.
