Quiraing

The entire of the Trotternish Ridge slope was shaped by an extraordinary arrangement of landslips; the Quiraing is the main piece of the slip as yet moving—the street at its base, close Flodigarry, requires repairs every year.

The name Quiraing originates from Old Norse 'Kví Rand', which signifies "Round Fold". Inside the overlap is The Table, a hoisted level covered up among the columns. It is said that the overlap was utilized to cover cows from Viking pillagers.
It is a landslip on the eastern face of Meall na Suiramach, the northernmost summit of the Trotternish on the Isle of Skye, Scotland.
