It is the previous lodge of the antiquated Sussex town of Preston, now part of the beachfront city of Brighton and Hove, England.
The present building dates for the most part from 1738, when Lord of the estate Thomas Western remade the first thirteenth-century structure some portion of which stays inside, and 1905 when Charles Stanley Peach's redesign and augmentation gave the house its present appearance.
A walled plant, assigned as being of notable intrigue, has old stone dividers, a destroyed wellhouse, and a pet memorial park, among different highlights.
