About Preston Cenotaph
Revealed on 13 June 1926, the remembrance was outlined by Sir Giles Gilbert Scott with sculptural work by Henry Alfred Pegram.The Preston Cenotaph remains in Market Square, Preston, Lancashire, England, and is a landmark to warriors from Preston who died in World War I and II. The landmark's fundamental element is a figure of "Triumph" whose arms are raised and who holds shrub wreaths in either hand.
The figure remains inside sections supporting a pediment and on either side of the "Triumph" figure are portrayals of the individuals who passed on said to be "arguing for acknowledgment of their forfeit". At the extremely best of the landmark, there is a void casket henceforth "cenotaph" or "discharge tomb" with seraphs and strands of foliage cut around it.
