About Petersfield Museum

Petersfield Museum is a neighborhood exhibition hall in the residential community of Petersfield in the English province of Hampshire. The Museum is arranged in the Old Magistrates Courthouse, Petersfield, Hampshire. It is found mostly down the rear way between St Peter's Road and Hylton Road. The Museum was framed by a gathering of neighborhood students of history, 'The Petersfield Area Historical Society'. Throughout the years, protests and file material was gathered, later formally exchanged to the Museum and now shapes the broad accumulations. The Museum has been open since 1999 and holds materials that identifies with the town of Petersfield and the encompassing towns.
The Museum holds photos, documents, oral history and maps identifying with the town and encompassing territory. A course of events include takes the guest through the historical backdrop of the town nearby some brief cases which change over every year. In 2007 the Bedales Historic Costume Collection was given to the Museum. This accumulation is comprised of around 1000 pieces including women, gentlemen and youngsters' dress and frill dating from 1720. In 2009 the Flora Twort Gallery and its accumulations were exchanged to the Petersfield Museum Trust. This accumulation comprises of artistic creations, draws by Flora and chronicles identifying with her life.
