North Stoneham Park
About North Stoneham Park
North Stoneham Park, otherwise called Stoneham Park, was a finished parkland and nation place of a similar name, north of Southampton at North Stoneham, Hampshire. It was the seat of the Fleming family. The recreation center was rebuilt by Lancelot Brown in the 18th century. It is recorded in the Hampshire Register of Historic Parks and Gardens. In 2011, disputable plans were d to assemble 1,300 new houses on the surviving segment, Avenue Park.
The deer stop at North Stoneham was presumably part of a Saxon ministerial domain in the early Middle Ages. Later it had a place with Hyde Abbey. Following the Dissolution of the Monasteries, the house was gained in 1545 by Henry Wriothesley, second Earl of Southampton. In 1599, Henry Wriothesley, third Earl of Southampton sold the North Stoneham bequest to Sir Thomas Fleming, whose relatives claimed it until 1953. You can visit this place with your loved ones.
