The Cathedral Church of St Nicholas is a Congregation of Britain basilica in Newcastle upon Tyne, Britain. It is the seat of the Priest of Newcastle and is the mother church of the Bishopric of Newcastle, the most northerly ward of the Anglican Church in Britain, which comes to from the Waterway Tyne as far north as Berwick-upon-Tweed and as far west as Alston in Cumbria.

Its pinnacle is noted for its fifteenth century light tower. Vigorously reestablished in 1777, the building was brought to house of God status up in 1882, when it wound up plainly known as the Basilica Church of St Nicholas.
